Pre-Installation Requirements:

Secure excavator on level ground with arm supported
Support arm cylinder properly during disassembly

Clean cylinder exterior thoroughly

Installation Procedure:
Disassembly Steps
Mark cylinder components for reassembly alignment
Carefully remove gland nut and piston assembly
Document seal orientation and position
Clean all components with non-petroleum solvent
Seal Installation
Lubricate all seals with clean hydraulic fluid
Use seal installation tools - avoid sharp instruments
Ensure proper orientation of directional seals
Verify seals are fully seated in grooves
Reassembly Specifications
Gland nut torque: 750-800 Nm (553-590 ft-lbs)
