Installation decomposition diagram

Pre-Installation Protocol:

1. Park backhoe loader on level ground, lower all attachments to ground

2. Engage parking brake and implement all safety locks

3. Turn ignition key to OFF position and remove

4. Disconnect negative (-) battery terminal first, then positive (+)

5. Wait minimum 10 minutes for ECU capacitors to discharge

6. Identify and tag all existing engine harness connections

Installation Steps:

1. Photograph entire existing engine harness routing and connections from multiple angles

2. Label each connector with waterproof tags identifying corresponding components

3. Use appropriate terminal release tools - never pull on wires

4. Carefully release all engine harness clamps and mounting points

5. Compare new COGENG harness with original for exact configuration match

6. Route new harness following exact original path documentation

7. Secure all mounting clamps and retention points to proper torque specifications

8. Connect all engine sensors and monitoring components first

9. Engage ECU and main power connections last

10. Verify all connector locks engage with positive click

11. Ensure adequate slack at engine movement points and vibration areas

Post-Installation Testing:

• Reconnect battery terminals (positive first, then negative)

• Turn key to ON position (do not start) for system initialization

• Check for diagnostic trouble codes using JCB diagnostic equipment

• Start engine and monitor for proper operation and sensor readings

• Verify all system communications and parameter readings

• Test under actual operating conditions to confirm full performance
